Lapis Lazuli (Lazurite) is made up of several kinds of minerals; lazurite, sodalite, hauyne, calcite, pyrite. It is usually blue with flecks of white calcite and gold pyrite. It is easily obtained by expensive. It is found in Afghanistan, USSR, Chile, Italy, Middle East, USA and Canada. Some believe wearing lapis lazuli brings deep peace and serenity to the wearer and has many healing properties. It is known to open the Third Eye Chakra and balance the Throat Chakra so putting a lapis stone in your pocket might not be as beneficial as wearing it near your third eye and Throat Chakras.
